If you’ve been following me for a little while, you will know that I’ve photographed a couple of weddings at the lovely Hazel Gap Barn already. However, until now, I haven’t had a chance to photograph a winter wedding there. As always, Hazel Gap didn’t disappoint! We were blessed with beautiful weather, and a gorgeous winter sunset too, not to mention the delicious food!
For a while now I thought spring and summer weddings were my favourite – that was until now! The burgundy colours complimented the season beautifully, and the chilly air was a perfect companion to the late night marshmallow session in the courtyard of Hazel Gap. The fire pits are a lovely addition, especially on those cold nights.
Sarah and Graham chose to have a very relaxed wedding surrounded by closest family, followed by a ceilidh in the evening. Safe to say, it was a massive hit with all of the guests. I’ve seen a few ceilidh in my time of photographing weddings, and they always turn out to be so much fun, with all guests joining in. If you’re stuck for ideas for the evening, this might be a really good option if you enjoy a good dance!
I’d like to take this opportunity to wish you a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New year. Thank you for following along, your support is truly appreciated.
Much love and see you in the New Year,
