Silk Mill Studios wedding in Frome
Lucy and Jonny have a great love for the cinema, and in particular, Disney movies. With that in mind, they chose to have their ceremony at the Little Theatre Cinema, where we all watched a short movie called ‘Lava’. If you haven’t seen it, I suggest that you look it up! I had seen it once before, but it actually made me teary watching it again and seeing what it mean to the bride and groom. It was a special ceremony, followed by an even more special reception.
The rest of the wedding took place at the Silk Mill Studios in Frome, a short drive away from Bath. Lucy and Jonny took it upon themselves to decorate the entire venue themselves, and they did such a wonderful job! The whole aim of the day was to have a fun time with their family and friends, and that they certainly did!
The entire day was alternative and that’s exactly what I loved about it. They really thought outside the box and I’m certain that it’s a night that the guests won’t forget in a hurry. Things to look out for: self-serve bar, pizza van, deck chairs, beer pong, glitter station and the aftermath that followed, doughnut wall and last but not least, SILENT DISCO!
All couples should consider having it – it really was the most fun and I managed to sneak some headphones for myself too! The atmosphere was electric and I know that this wedding will hold a special place in my heart for a very long time. I left them all as the night began to roll in, singing along to Wonderwall by Oasis. What a night!
