The Farmhouse at Mackworth WeddingLauren + James

Wedding at the Farmhouse at Mackworth

The day began at the Coach House in Derby – a beautiful boutique bed and breakfast set in central Derby. I absolutely love the way it’s been decorated – especially the small bar downstairs, with the gorgeous blue walls! It was the perfect place to take a few photos of Lauren before she headed off to get married at the Farmhouse at Mackworth.

When Lauren first told me about their chosen theme for the wedding, I imagined lots of colourful balloons. Lauren and James chose the film UP! to be their inspiration, but when I arrived at the venue, I realised how wrong I had been! Lauren put so much effort into making this day as beautiful as it was. All of the decorations were sourced by her, and put together so beautifully! This was a tasteful take on a movie theme and boy did it pay off! I know just how much time is put into decorating the venue – that’s why I always try to do the decorations justice. Your time and effort spent creating your perfect day deserve to be documented!

Right from our initial meeting, Lauren and James made it clear that their two boys were incredibly important to this whole day. I couldn’t imagine a more perfect little family. Coming home that night, I really felt lucky and thankful to have been a part of this very special day. The Farmhouse at Mackworth was the perfect location for their informal and relaxed wedding.

Once dinner was over, a very special visitor made an appearance – Polly’s Parlour vintage ice cream truck! It fitted the whole day perfectly and we even managed to get a few photos inside the truck too! This was then followed by the arrival of OH! Photobooth – a great way to entertain evenings guests before the dancing begun.
