Fay and Craig chose to have their winter wedding at the gorgeous Doddington Hall - a perfect venue for cosy weddings. Doddington Hall is an Elizabethan Mansion built in 1600, and it's still a family home to this day. I’ve been a huge fan of Doddington for quite some time, as their walled gardens are gorgeous, and they sell local veggies in their farm shop, too.
The wedding was a lovely, intimate affair, even though it wasn’t particularly small. Fay and Craig married at the church right next to Doddigton Hall, and after the confetti tunnel, we all headed to the Hall courtyard for family photos. We may have had a few escaping children, but we managed to get some lovely group shots. We then went on to have the couple portraits in the walled gardens and surrounding kitchen garden. Thankfully, it was a dry day, and despite the cold, we had a lovely walk around the grounds.
Fay wore a stunning Temperley gown, with makeup done by the wonderful Amy L Wilkinson, and hair done by The Hair Gallery. Family and friends were able to stay on site in many of the cottages available for hire at Doddington, and this meant that everyone could get ready together in the morning.
Fay and Craig chose deep tones for their wedding flowers, which Rose Cottage Floristry executed perfectly. The colours really suited the Coach House, where the wedding reception took place. Their cake was a work of art, and the room looked super cozy with the twinkly lights.
It was an absolutely stunning wedding and a pleasure to be a part of, and I can't wait to be back at Doddington Hall again soon!
