London Devonshire Terrace wedding

Rachael and Matt had a wonderful spring wedding at the Devonshire Terrace in central London. The Devonshire Terrace has recently been renovated, providing a gorgeous space for intimate city weddings. The surrounding city streets are ideal for couple portraits too, making it the perfect wedding venue for those wanting to get married in the city.

Just as I love city engagement sessions, I love a good city wedding too. The Devonshire Terrace has a beautiful open space for ceremonies. The glass roof allows for outdoor ceremonies without the worry of rain. I know that this is something that puts people off having outdoor ceremonies – the unknown can be a little scary, and most people don’t want the worry on the morning of their wedding. This is why Devonshire Terrace is a perfect mix of the outdoor and indoor.

Rachael got ready at Andaz hotel, minutes away from the venue, and so we all walked down to the ceremony, stopping traffic along the way. Once the ceremony and group photos were out of the way, I whisked Rachael and Matt away for a few minutes to get some couple portraits before the light disappeared. It was a beautiful day and Rachael did not stop smiling! We managed to get some evenings portraits too, lit by the lovely festoon lights dotted around the courtyard.
