Spring bluebell wedding at Hazel Gap Barn
Olivia and James married at the Hazel Gap Barn on a beautiful spring day. On the morning of the wedding, I drove to Gainsborough for the bridal preparations. Olivia’s parents’ gorgeous house was the perfect backdrop for the morning photos. Olivia’s five bridesmaids looked absolutely beautiful in their matching gowns, and we even managed to get a few photos with Olivia’s nephew who had woken up from a nap not long before we left.
Ceremony at Hazel Gap Barn
The ceremony was followed by an epic confetti walk down the aisle. The confetti shot is usually done outside, but the rain had other plans for us that day. I feel like it worked out perfectly! Unfortunately it was still raining when it was time for the group photos, and so we decided to use the ceremony room for some indoor group shots. Hazel Gap has plenty of beautiful spaces inside for those rainy days, meaning that you don’t have to worry about a location for the photos. The centrepieces and Olivia’s bouquet were prepared by Spotted Dog Flower Co. They complimented the venue perfectly.
After the wedding breakfast, we snuck out to the woods behind the venue for some more bridal portraits. We were in luck, as the bluebells had just blossomed and were lining the woods perfectly. The whole day was super relaxed and after the first dance, all of Olivia and James’ friends joined them on the dance floor. They sure know how to party!
We ended the beautiful day with a sparkler exit – another opportunity for additional bride and groom portraits to add to the collection. It was yet another stunning wedding day that I’m lucky to have been a part of!
